Staff had to manually adjust dimmers and speakers, making transitions between daytime dining and evening service both time-consuming and imprecise.
The management wanted to create distinct moods for different service periods — breakfast, lunch, dinner, and private events — without constant staff intervention. The solution needed to combine precise lighting, audio, and environmental control into one easy interface.
The Solution
Conviva designed a fully integrated control system using Lutron lighting and shading, ensuring each area of the restaurant could shift seamlessly from bright daytime dining to soft, elegant evening lighting at the touch of a button.
Audio zones were introduced, allowing curated playlists to flow naturally throughout the restaurant, bar, and private dining rooms. Sound levels automatically adjust to match the time of day and occupancy, ensuring guests can enjoy conversation without interference.
Behind the scenes, Verkada cameras and access control were added to discreetly secure back of house areas and entrances, offering peace of mind for management and staff without affecting the customer experience.
All systems are linked through intuitive, one-touch interfaces that staff can access from reception or mobile devices, making adjustments smooth and effortless.
The Result
The transformation was immediate. Lighting scenes now shift automatically between lunch and dinner service, perfectly complementing the restaurant’s design and cuisine. Music transitions naturally through each area, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that guests consistently praise.
